My Bookworm Journey

Okay so this is my first blog post and in here I’m going to introduce myself and share my story of how I discovered my love for books.

My bookworm journey started when I was in my 11th grade visiting my grandma from my mother’s side on summer vacations. Okay so long story short I was bored and had nothing to do. I was just checking the cupboards in the room I was staying at and found some old newspapers, magazines and a stack of books. I ignored the newspapers, pulled out a few magazines but quickly lost the interest in that too. I was curious about the stack of books so when I checked them I found they were story books in my native language Hindi. I tried reading a story and was quickly engrossed in it. So a few days passed and my days went by quickly, I was no longer bored but instead was enjoying reading the books. When the time came to leave my uncle came to see us off. We’re about to leave when my uncle came over to me and asked me if there’s something that I’d like to get for our journey, I was thinking of the small bookstore that we passed by on our way and without thinking I blurted out, ‘A book’. My uncle was confused, clearly by ‘something’ he meant snacks or drinks for our journey, so I asked him to take me to that bookstore. It wasn’t far just a few feet away and there I got my first novel “If It’s Not Forever” by Durjoy Dutta, which I immensely enjoyed. Two years went by and I was busy with my friends and studies and forgot all about my passion for reading. After I graduated high school, I still had a few months before I start college. I was sick of spending my days on facebook and youtube, so when a high school friend suggested me to start reading I quickly began searching online for some books. I found an app called Wattpad and spent about 2 years reading there. After that I found Audible and was thoroughly enjoying listening to audiobooks, so I left wattpad and started reading on Kindle or online. Soon I discovered my passion for writing and discussing the books that I read. And so I decided to start book blogging and now here I am.

In this blog I’ll be discussing books with friends I hope to make on WordPress who share my interest in books. The common genres that I’ll be discussing are Romance, Paranormal, Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Young Adult. You can expect my posts on weekends, that would be once a week.

I love hot tattoed bad boys and sexy dominant Alpha males. Add there independent fearless women with a backbone with a bit of drama, humor, and love, and I’ll have a perfect story to read.

Besides reading and writing, I also love horror movies, strawberry lemonade, and chocolates. Because Aideen Collins (from Slater Brothers series by L.A. Casey) was damn right when she said that you could end a world war with chocolates!
