Wherever you are, however you got there, if it’s good, you’re meant to be there either because you earned it or life led you there and you were smart enough to hold on.

You’re beautiful always but you make a little dress and high heels look fuckin’ spectacular and when your face looks just… like… that, honey, you take my breath away.
Okay, gotta admit, I’ve been thinking of reading this one for awhile now, but I kept delaying it for some reason. And I’m so freaking glad that I finally got to read it, thanks to our Pass the Parcel game. Seriously, I don’t know why I didn’t read this one sooner before seeing as I’m a HUGE fan of Kristen Ashley. Anyways, this was The most heartbreaking book of KA I’ve ever read, and The Gamble and Wild and Free doesn’t even come close to that, even though they were really very emotional books. And no Rock Chick Regret doesn’t count, cause I’m still pissed about that one, though I’ve somehow forgiven The Golden Dynasty.
Anyways, back to the story, this was a fabulous book, like most of KA’s other books. The romance was off the charts, a complete fairy tale romance where an average normal girl falls in love with a popular football player, her fantasy man. The sex was hot and steamy and the book contained a fair amount of amusing moments. Though what made the book so much fabulous were the back stories of Kia, Celeste, Luci and of course, Sam. Even in the end where Kia was telling Celeste she was pregnant, it was such a joyous and happy moment and I was actually crying! Damn I’ve grown soft. (By the way, Talia Celeste Cooper is a kick ass name!)
“Seein’ you sittin’ alone that night after dinner, so beautiful, so fuckin’ beautiful, speakin’ to you only for you to turn and face me and see you had tears in your eyes. Those tears, Christ,” he bit off the last word on a snarl. “Never in my life… never felt that. I didn’t fuckin’ know you and seein’ those tears in your eyes fucking undid me.”
Kia was a kind, soft spoken, classy yet a small town girl, who’ve been through hell in her life and Sam, well Sam was Sam. He was a protective, strong, gentle and loving man who has his own demons from the past. And it was really very beautiful to see these two tortured souls find each other, but most importantly find love in each other.
After making a bad decision when she was very young, Kia Clementine finds herself in hell. Then, suddenly, within the time it takes for a shotgun to blast, her hell changes. Completely. Then out-of-the-blue she sees Sampson Cooper, her celebrity crush. A man the whole world knows is decent. A man the world knows is loyal. A man the world knows is good. All of these very unlike her now dead husband.
He’s sitting at a table right next to hers. And she catches his eye.
Terrified of the interest Sam shows in her, Kia finds the courage to go out with him. Not long after, she shares her dark secrets and Sam shares that he’ll stop at nothing to gain her trust.
As Sam leads Kia to heaven, Kia realizes that Sam is living his own hell. But although he gives her beauty and she gives him everything, he withholds his trust.
Even with all the beauty Sam shows her, Kia wants it all. But Sam forces Kia to make a heartbreaking decision and only she can decide. It’s all or nothing.
Anyways, if you’re like me and thinking of reading this book but aren’t sure, then I’ll say this: learn from my mistakes and go get the book and read it NOW, or whenever you get the time to. Seriously, you won’t regret it. Now, I’m off to seeing which book is next in the series.
Anywhere is heaven as long as it’s an anywhere with you.
